Yesterday night, yx suddenly ask us out for dinner, after moments of conference; me, yx, wei shiang, hang, yung and mapo decided to go Eastern Creative Recipe (recommended by yung). Its at Melaka raya, opposite Secret Recipe and just beside "Our planet" which I went last week.
The interiors and environment are nice.

Here comes the dishes, besides the meat, the veges are quite raw so i don't really recommend this place to those don't eat veges. For me it's very nice and a very healthy+filling meal. Oh ya, for just additional RM1 you can change the fries into white or brown rice.

Vista Compatibility Solution

Nowadays most new laptops don't come with XP drivers, they only come out with Vista drivers which cause lots of problem especially to those are using matlab for their FYP. This post is specially for szeying, ah jap and those people out there frustrating about the softwares they cant run in Vista. Here is what i recommend to you all. Use VMware or also known as virtual machine. You may ask what is this for or how it works right?
A virtual machine is an isolated software container that can run its own operating systems and applications as if it were a physical computer. A virtual machine behaves exactly like a physical computer and have its own virtual (ie, software-based) CPU, RAM hard disk and network interface card (NIC).

Here is a snapshot of what you'll get

Next I move in to the most important part, how to install and use it.

1) Download the player here. Fill in the registration/survey form and download the latest version then install it.

2) Go to this website where you can download the pre-configuration of vmware (zip file).
Recommendation: Just select the OS that you are going to use only. Leave the rest of settings as default.

3) Drivers? It is auto mapped. It might work and it might also not work. For me, I cant online with my XP virtual machine.

Here are the steps for those who still kind of unsure what to do.

If you know what OS you'll be using; select the specific one, if not then these are a more general OS when you scroll down.

Click 'Create Virtual Machine'

When you download and unzip, double click the icon I highlighted and pop in the installation CD.

At last, rain falls at the night of lantern festival cooling down the hot weather of Melaka. There are 2 sessions of celebration for me. 1st is arrange by the juniors of Taekwondo members at Neoh's place. We took lanterns and stroll along the neighborhood (and was forced to take the lead +_+ ) for awhile only cos it start to drizzle already.

Seems like all are ready to move out.

To celebrate lantern festival surely we need to lit lanterns right, here are few steps:

1) A bunch of paper made lanterns (The old fashion way)

2) About 20 packets of colorful candles (Seems more like taking the house down)

3) Lastly, a syndicate to lit candles and prepare the lanterns (Look like something else eh?)

After taking them one round, I didnt wait to see the ending and went for my 2nd round at my Taekwondo master's place.

Happy Moon Cake Festival

Happy Moon Cake Festival to all ^^ . For some that don't know Moon cake festival is also known as Mid-Autumn festival it is also sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival. Yesterday night went to "Big Juice" to yum cha with my friends after library session. Joyce brought along a box of mooncakes containing some weird mooncakes (don't kill me if u read this hor) got green tea skin and inside is red bean, coconut lotus something with egg yolk, another one taste like sourish '酸梅', the best of all is the one contain bbq chicken. Nowadays people are coming up with many 'varieties' of mooncakes to boost their market.

Still got 2 more packets of mooncakes from my parents haven't open yet... i wonder how it taste like. Hopefully better than the bbq chicken haha...

The custom of worshipping the moon (called xi yue in Chinese) can be traced back as far as the ancient Xia and Shang Dynasties (2000 B.C.-1066 B.C.). In the Zhou Dynasty(1066 B.C.-221 B.C.), people hold ceremonies to greet winter and worship the moon whenever the Mid-Autumn Festival sets in. It becomes very prevalent in the Tang Dynasty(618-907 A.D.) that people enjoy and worship the full moon. In the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 A.D.), however, people send round moon cakes to their relatives as gifts in expression of their best wishes of family reunion. When it becomes dark, they look up at the full silver moon or go sightseeing on lakes to celebrate the festival. Since the Ming (1368-1644 A.D. ) and Qing Dynasties (1644-1911A.D.), the custom of Mid-Autumn Festival celebration becomes unprecedented popular. Together with the celebration there appear some special customs in different parts of the country, such as burning incense, planting Mid-Autumn trees, lighting lanterns on towers and fire dragon dances. However, the custom of playing under the moon is not so popular as it used to be nowadays, but it is not less popular to enjoy the bright silver moon. Whenever the festival sets in, people will look up at the full silver moon, drinking wine to celebrate their happy life or thinking of their relatives and friends far from home, and extending all of their best wishes to them.

hey ya all, let me introduce my hedgehog pet, Max. He's now 1 year old. Some of you might think it's so weird rearing this animal as pet. Dont ask me why I rear him, I also dont know the answer myself, haha.... Hedgehog have a average life span about 3.5 years. Hedgehog food includes: worms, insects (bees and spiders), snakes and mice but what normally I feed him is noncommercial cat food because it contain fish and others vitamins and minerals. They are lonely creatures and they are most active during the night. Unlike hamster, there's a lot that you need to know about rearing a hedgehog because they are a very fragile creatures.

p/s:- You'll sure wonder if their quills will hurt or poke you right? Their quills are modified hairs, they are not very sharp but it still hurts a bit, you'll get used to it after sometime.

Just back from lunch with ah yung, ah zhong, wei shiang, choo hang and his friend at 3 flavour chicken rice. Though of buying myself a pendrive since yesterday, lucky today the computer shop is open because today is Melaka's public holiday; Ramadhan start today where the Muslim people start fasting for 1 whole month before they celebrate Hari Raya.
Back to the topic, got myself a imation nano flash drive for RM68. Should have gotten it earlier when the price is much cheaper... haiz... what to do, now only need to use it urgently.

Currently online from in campus with my lappie ^^ Just now go STAD to practice my speech for this Sunday opening ceremony, tomorrow have to go practice in front of the officers again. The worst part is my fyp have to start from scratch again, sad sad sad... suppose doing research virus for windows, now change to linux virus... wasted my time searching tools for windows reverse engineering. 20th will be my presentation and up until now still nothing to show them. Hopefull next week i can concentrate 100% for my FYP. Still very noob in this field, anyone good in reverse engineering? Your help is very much appreciated hehe...

The heat is on, the pressure is building up

My event is just 4 days away, so many things not confirm, my speech also have not finish writing, tomorrow's night will be the rehearsal for opening ceremony. 2 assignments due on 15th and 21st. FYP presentation on 20th, what shit also haven't done yet.

A night at Putrajaya

Here is the main reason why we can't make it to mifc in Putrajaya in time... It's such a massive jam, endless lines of cars. After 2 and half hours, we reached Putrajaya and caught in another jam where everyone started to go back after the fireworks... what a way to spend the night, jam jam jam....After getting away from the jam, we went to Street Mall to have our food. At one glance, you thought the food there will be quite expensive, actually it's ok lah... There are 2 food gallery, one is malay or mamak style, another one is western type which is the one we went in.
Each of us ordered our drink and food....

BTW there are 4 teams (Malaysia, Australia, Italy and Japan). Team Australia won the Merdeka trophy.

When we reached there we caught in traffic jam again because everyone is going back home after the event have finished. Feeling unsatisfied from the long tiring journey, we went to Street Mall at Cyberjaya to have some food and to avoid the traffic jam....
