Wedding Tea Ceremony

I think this is the first time for me to witness a full chinese wedding tea ceremony. It's very nice and very happening, and also very smoky cos of the big joss stick burning in the living room. I only manage to attend the first half of the ceremony as the 2nd half is held at the groom's place which is at pahang. After the bride's tea ceremony finished I've to rush downtown to meet Neoh and his friend. Such a tiring day.... Well, here's few photo's and some of it is just a trial of photoshop effect. Ohya, here's my review on Maha Powerex 2700 battery on F42 sony flash, I manage to completely drain it off after taking about 500-600 photos. Critics and Comments are most welcome =)

In chinese tea ceremony, when the groom's want to 'get' the bride, he will have to go through few stages of games prepared by the bride's sisterhood. The groom will need to assemble his own 'team' to help him to go through it. Fuh~ like preparing for war... haha...

First challenge: Eat 'the' bread (I wonder is it just a plain bread or is there some special ingredient in it)

Peter Tan and May Lim Wedding Dinner

Wedding... It's the one best thing in life we'll have to go through and it's a once in a lifetime thing. This is my first time attending my friend's wedding dinner and my first time being a photographer too. They didn't hire any pro photographers so I've to be their official photographer loh, ceh... 'official photographer' glamour name lolx.

Waited my friend to fetch me about 6 something and we all went together, the bridegroom was there first and the place was still quite empty. After awhile people start coming in and you can see the bride, bridegroom and their family all getting tense up.

At first I really don't know what to snap, so just go out the reception there and slowly snap around. I really need to get some kick start cos I was taking little pictures only and my friend was keep telling me, go there and take that picture, go there and take that picture. When there's more people arriving, and things getting merrier, that's when I think I get my mood into action and my friend say 'Hey, you are already doing it, don't need kick start already' haha... Funniest thing is when the couple need to walk down the aisle, they being told to walk slowly... but in the end they still walk so fast, I almost need to run ahead to catch up and snap few pictures.

This picture was taken by a total surprised, I was trying to keep ahead of them and suddenly I heard 'POP' and I just turn around, half looking into the viewfinder and just snap. I've no idea what the picture will look like, and it come out just fine. Here's my 2 cents, just shot and think later. You won't have any time to think nor to see the pictures. So just spam everything you got haha...

Bird Park | Gathering @Nandos

Last weekend, we went to Kuala Lumpur Bird park for photoshooting. The entrance fees cost RM15 provided you bring along your MyKad. Ah hao was informed last minute, so he ended up shooting with kitlens and prime lens haha.... ah jian was damn lucky, Darryl have extra Canon sets with telephoto lens, else he'll be joining hao shooting with kitlens and prime lens.

That day is the day where four kings unite, cos there's Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Sony dslr go together for bird hunting, let the sharpest shooter win the game... *just kidding... It's a good day for photograpy as the weather is fair and most important, there's no rain that day... Thank god... else we'll be running looking for holes to shelter in. Took us few hours in there to complete go around the place and I felt my leg is going to break into few hundreds pieces already... that's the effect of too long never exercise haha...

Damn sad that day don't know why my kitlens suddenly malfunction, my friends say maybe I too hardcore already lol... Lucky still got warranty to fix it for free, else I have to get a 16-80 cz already *Dreaming... Finally, thanks Darryl for the group photo picture. Next time we go out together again ok? hehe...

After having enough rest, next day we FINALLY manage to gather who ever that's left in KL and free to come out for a tele gathering. Erm... there's 1 alien ops... monkey that's not tele group but always join tele group one lolx... hope he don't see this... sh... since some of us stay north and some stay south and others staying south, so I think it'll be much better to gather at mid valley since it's kind of a center point for all.

Well, we just have a simple gathering at Nandos. Just sit down, dinner and chit chat. Nicole just managed to join us after we finished up out meals... cos hor she went for shopping spree lor... haha... Haiz... can consider not bad d right? 1st gathering got 7 people turn up... next gathering when you all want it? If possible we plan much earlier ahead and you all try and free your time, else I will feel really lazy organize next gathering already. What for do something that nobody wants to give cooperations... (=.=) Ohya, those tele group who are not in KL also most welcome to join if you can make it ya, just let me know and I will add you in the yahoogroup.
