West Tabur Hill

Its been ages since I update my blog.... Recently I've been doing a lot mountain hiking in Selangor areas. Just last Saturday I went to explore West Bukit Tabur, there also a East Bukit Tabur which they said is much more challenging. Here's the coordinate for those who like to go and challenge it 3°13'55.41"N 101°44'51.54"E. The hill is located in Taman Melawati and it can be seen clearly from MRR2.

We planned to meet up at 5.30am, but I overslept... when my friend called me around 5.45am I answer the call and I was like WTF!!! I'm late!!! Finally we reached the foot hill around 7.45am, it was still quite dark but lucky we manage to find the entrance to the hill. The whole journey took us about 3 hours plus to go up and come back down.

Entrance

The beginning of the hiking was not as hard, but the atmosphere's getting cooler as we goes higher. After tracking for about 10mins, we reached our 1st clearance with great view of Klang Gate Dam area. From here onwards the track become more challenging....

Finally we've reached the high peak of West Bukit Tabur!!

Going down
There's 2 route of going back down. 1st is going back from where we came from. 2nd is going through a villager's land. You'll see a lot fruits along the way if you're in the right season.

Sungai Gabai 002

Here's the continuation from previous post...

Oh ya, a word of caution to all photographers, ensure you fix a tripod on the camera when you walk along the slippery stones. Cos that's what saved my camera from swimming in the waterfall... but I end up falling into the water...

Last week, we organize a trip to Sg. Gabai waterfalls. It's located at hulu langat, Selangor. The road to there is quite narrow and be alert of the small sign board of where to turn. You can 1st try look into Google Earth for the location 1st N03° 09.97' E101° 54.52'

Ohya, make sure you be there early latest by 9am, else you've to park outside and walk quite far to the waterfall and around noon the whole place is packed with people.
